Katie Fisher

Katie Fischer graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and a teaching certification through the UTeach program. Prior to Girlstart, Katie was an educator in Northside ISD, teaching high school math courses ranging from Algebra 1 to Pre-Calculus. As an undergraduate at UT, she interned at Girlstart leading Girlstart After School programs. After graduating, she continued to spend her summers as a part of the Girlstart Summer Camp travel team, leading summer camps in other states. Katie currently oversees Girlstart’s nationally-recognized informal, STEM education After School Program for girls.
